Make sure you have 4 farms as you will need lot of resources to upgrade the main. Once you reach 26 and have all your major buildings upgraded to 26, start on your resource tiles.Ģ) Farms get them to level 20 so minerals are unlocked. which should be good enough cause 26 to 30 is pain in the ass to upgrade. This will give you t8 snipers and t9 canons. Focus on the required building and get your city to lvl 26 and your camps to 22 and factory to 26. Here is my advice if you want to play without spending moneyġ) Main City: right now stop focusing on resource buildings build training grounds preferably all 8. I am level 31 with 4 level 21 farms in #116 playing for about year and half now. but is this a good strategy? or should i try to upgrade city level asap, and only focus on whats required to upgrade city, as well as military camp/factory/workshop at the right levels, houses for propersity, academy, city hall and garage for research, and then leave duplicate buildings like resources, training grounds, and medic stations behind? i guess this goes back to my original question of, how do i build a city properly? originally i wanted to grow slow and steady because i have no farms, and not planning to spend real money, and i dont even attack people cuz i realized with the amount of troops i lose, the resources i plunder isnt worth it (very stupid mechanism btw, the attacker loses troops permanently, defenders dont, assuming your hospital can hold, and they dont use special skills), so i wanted to upgrade everything to the same level as my city hall, then move on. i didnt realize you can CHOOSE which type of building you want on some blocks until a bit later, i was just building what the system told me to build, so i have 8 oil, 8 farm, 4 steel, and 8 training ground (this is when i realize i can change, so i build an extra 2 of these instead of medic), 4 medic.should i just keep upgrading one of them, for rewards and requirement purposes, and leave the rest at lv 16? if yes, at what point should i have stopped upgrading the rest of my resource fields?.i only played this game for a couple of weeks, i feel like thats not a very worthy investment. it feels like diminishing returns at this point. after doing some math, if you just count the numbers, not the type of resources, it would take that single building like 3 months to make back the amount i invest in upgrading it. I will elaborate on this question more below, but this triggered me to wonder if there's an established guide on how to build different types of cities, like attack heavy, farm heavy, actual farm, and well rounded/balanced?Īnyway, i just got to lv17 on main hall, most of my buildings i got them to lv 16, including ALL the resources building, but now im looking at upgrading them, and i realized that each one only gives 260 per hour, while it takes like 560k resources to build.
